Warren Consolidated Schools is proud to offer our community a high-quality Latchkey program available before and after school for students in grades TK-5 who attend one of our twelve (12) elementary schools. Latchkey programs provide supervised care on a regular basis for children during hours of the day when school is not in session and parents are not available. Some benefits include:
In order to ensure that all WCS families have the opportunity to participate in quality before and after school care, students must be registered in Latchkey and families must pre-select Latchkey dates of attendance a minimum of 2 weeks in advance (as space is available). Same day registration and “Drop-In” Latchkey Services are not available.
After completing the registration process, parents will pre-select dates of attendance in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis until the attendance date(s) are full.
When selecting the attendance dates in advance, WCS respectfully requests that you only select those dates that you know your son/daughter will attend. Families will be charged for all pre-selected dates, regardless of whether or not the student attends.
Before-school Latchkey is designed for families who need child care before school starts. Latchkey opens at 6:45am** and runs until the start of school. Students must be registered at one of the WCS twelve elementary schools in grades TK-5 to attend before-school Latchkey at their home school.
The cost for attending before-school Latchkey is $5.00 per day for each child who attends. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to their registered before-school Latchkey site.
After-school Latchkey is designed for families who need childcare from the time school ends until 6:00pm. Students must be registered at one of WCS twelve elementary schools in grades TK-5 to attend after-school Latchkey at the *** home school.
The cost of after-school Latchkey is $7.00 per day for each child who attends. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available. Parents are responsible for picking up their child from the Latchkey site by 6:00 pm.
Latchkey is available on early release and half-days of school. Early release/half-day Latchkey is available for families who need childcare from the time school ends until 6:00PM. Students must be attending one of the twelve WCS elementary schools in grades TK-5 to attend early release/half-day Latchkey.
The cost for attending Early Release/Half-Day Latchkey is $15.00 per day for each child who attends. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available. Parents are responsible for picking up their child from the Latchkey site by 6:00PM.
